A Word From Dave: |
|
I started skiing in 1976 at the
age of 19. I learned to ski from a family friend that was on the
Chicopee Comp H.S. ski team. After a few lessons I, like a lot of 19
year olds, thought I could handle it all. I went with some friends
to Smugglers Notch for a ski weekend and tore up the cartilage in my right
knee. I had it fixed and have been skiing ever since. I just
love this sport!
I can't stress enough to beginners... take some lessons. If you
can't afford it, there are some great videos out there that teach the
basics. Also, any chance you get to ski with others, that are better
than you, will only help you to progress.
See you on the mountain!
